Hal Josephson

Hal Josephson was a serial entrepreneur for over 20 years while living in Aspen, Boulder, Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Hal co-founded USA companies that focused on video production and teleconferencing, tele-skills™ training, satellite communication and technology licensing.

Hal migrated into organizing and producing cutting- edge technology / media conferences and thought leadership events. These include the first Hollywood Meets Silicon Valley conference, “Lights Camera Interaction”, Digital World, Envision, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), New Media in the 90’s, and the Digital Entrepreneur’s Leadership Forum (DELF) in HK and now Queensland (DELF Australia).

During the late 90’s and throughout the “noughties”, Hal worked in the economic development (E/D) sector parallel to high profile events in the Asia Pacific region. These were private sector led initiatives to drive business impact during & after the Sydney & Beijing Games, the Melbourne Commonwealth Games as well as Shanghai’s World Expo.
Hal also contributed to the E/D initiatives parallel to the America’s Cup, Rugby World Cup & Geeks on a Plane NZ.

For the past 12 years, Hal has been Program Chair for AUT’s Project Connect international speakers’ series, and for the past two years the lead mentor for Innovate Hawke’s Bay.
Hal has also consulted with the NZ and AU government agencies about entrepreneurism, technology and innovation

Hal’s book, LifeSize Story™ has been out since ’24. Hal’s now focusing on advising company Boards and other organizations doing economic development.
